Athora ("Athora," "we," "us," or "our"), a product of Pulse Development LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, provides an AI-powered fitness app that analyzes physique photos, generates personalized workout plans, and offers an AI coaching experience. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using Athora, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
If you are a Washington consumer, our collection and use of your consumer health data is also governed by our separate Washington Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.

Coach messages. The messages you send to the AI coach and the plan adjustments you request.
Progress data. Weight logs, progress photos, completed workouts, and related history you record over time.
Information collected automatically
Usage and app data. Basic app activity such as workouts viewed or completed, features used, and preferences (for example, language, appearance, and reminder settings).
Device information. Standard technical data such as device type, operating system version, and app version used for reliability and troubleshooting.
We use your information to:
To provide body analysis, plan generation, and coaching, relevant data (such as your physique photo reference, profile details, and coach messages) is processed by our backend, which uses third-party AI model providers (including OpenAI). These providers process the data on our behalf to return results to the app. We do not use your data to train third-party models where a provider offers an opt-out, and our backend requests are configured accordingly.
Body-composition estimates (body fat %, lean mass, scores, posture and symmetry notes) are directional estimates generated by an AI model, not clinical or medical measurements. They should not be relied on for medical decisions.
Exercise demonstration clips and thumbnails are streamed live from third-party sources (such as MuscleWiki) through our backend at the time you view them. We do not store or cache the underlying video files. Only lightweight, non-media exercise metadata (such as exercise name, target muscles, and equipment) is cached temporarily to reduce lookups.
Storage. Your account data, profile, plans, sessions, scans, and progress are stored using Supabase (our backend and database provider). Physique and progress photos are stored in a private storage bucket protected by row-level security so that only your account can access your files.
We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers. We share information only with providers that help us operate the app, including Supabase (authentication, database, storage) and AI model providers (analysis and coaching). These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security obligations.
Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the service.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete individual items (such as photos or logs) in the app. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data, except where we must retain limited information to comply with legal obligations.
Access and correction. You can view and edit your profile and fitness details in the app.
Deletion. You can delete photos, logs, and your account. Deleting your account removes your associated personal data as described above.
Permissions. You can control camera and photo access through your device settings.
Depending on your location, you may have additional rights (such as access, correction, deletion, or portability). If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, these rights are provided under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Your information is transferred to and processed in the United States, where our service providers (including Supabase and OpenAI) are based. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
Athora is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit, private storage buckets, and access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, which may have different data protection laws. By using Athora, you consent to this processing.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
